Sunrise announces Robert Wigger as new Chief Business Officer

  • Robert Wigger has been appointed as the new Chief Business Officer at Sunrise, starting September 1, 2017
  • Ralf Brandmeier, interim Head of the Business Customers Unit and responsible for transformation processes, to ensure a smooth transition

As announced on May 11, 2017 along with the financial results for the first quarter, former Sunrise Chief Business Officer Max Nunziata has decided to step down for personal reasons. His successor could not be announced at the time, for contractual reasons.

"We are happy to announce today that Robert Wigger has been appointed as the new Chief Business Officer. Robert is joining us from Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he was most recently responsible for its European service provider business as Vice President. Before that, he held various senior management positions at HP Switzerland, Compaq and Macrotron.

Robert has distinct experience of successfully creating and managing high-performance sales organizations, and has excellent strategic skills in business and sales planning. This means he has exactly the right background and skills to drive the evolution of our Business Customers Unit into a highly customer-oriented organization, so we can completely fulfill our customers' needs and further distinguish Sunrise in the market," says Olaf Swantee, CEO of Sunrise.

To ensure a smooth transition, Ralf Brandmeier, who reports directly to Olaf Swantee, will continue to lead the Business Customers Unit on an interim basis until Robert Wigger joins Sunrise on September 1, 2017.
