Sunrise Communications : becomes the new Premium Partner of FC Basel 1893 and lays the foundation for the first Swiss 5G-Smart-Stadium

FC Basel 1893 and Sunrise have signed a partnership contract as of July 1, 2019, with a term of 5 years. Sunrise actively commits to FCB as a Premium Partner and will provide support as a Smart Stadium-Partner.

Sunrise is known for its innovative power and bold ideas. Quality is a top priority and customers are offered inspiring experiences. These are invariably the same values that FC Basel also represents - meaning that the club is all the more happy to enter into a long-term and substantial partnership with Sunrise. The jointly agreed goal of the cooperation is for Sunrise, as a Smart-Stadium-Partner for FCB, to gradually expand the infrastructure for the digital stadium experience and the digital services for the visitors in St. Jakob-Park.

Sunrise is 'First on 5G' and this revolutionary technology will also benefit St. Jakob-Park. 5G will enable Sunrise and the FCB to realize smart stadium experiences in the St. Jakobs Park and to create significant added value for spectators around the FCB's home games.

In addition, as of July 1, 2019, Sunrise will also be responsible for the entire telecommunications services of the office and employees of FC Basel 1893.
