Sunrise Communications : now offering Apple Music

In June, Sunrise commissioned the market research institute LINK to conduct a representative survey among the population aged 15-79. This survey shows a clear picture regarding the use of music streaming:

• Half of the Swiss population already uses a music streaming service and on average stream their favorite songs for more than 8 hours a week.
• Today, 40% of the users already pay a monthly fee for the music streaming service.
• Every second iPhone user is willing to accept the Sunrise offer with 6 months of Apple Music as a gift and subscribe to Apple Music.

Music is part of everyday life for the Swiss, with music streaming playing an important role. According to the study, music streaming is most frequently used while driving or using public transport. Music also seems to help many people in Switzerland with their work: A quarter of the Swiss population most frequently streams their favorite music at their workplace. There is a great need to stream music anytime and anywhere: 28% of women listen to their favourite music even in the shower. For 30% of consumers, it is important to be able to stream music abroad, 40% of whom listen to music in offline mode.

Apple Music covers exactly this need and offers access to the entire Apple Music catalog, which contains over 50 million songs. The service can be used on up to 10 devices with iOS and Android, as well as on Internet browsers on PCs and laptops.

When using Apple Music in Switzerland, Sunrise customers do not need to worry about using up the data volume from their subscription (zero rating). With its introductory promotion, Sunrise is offering every postpaid customer Apple Music for free and without any commitment for six months. Apple Music costs CHF 12.90 per month and will be charged after the six-month trial through the Sunrise bill.

As an exclusive promotion, Sunrise and Apple are offering an iWatch S4 mm Space Grey Black Band and six months of Apple Music for free, with a total value of over 600 CHF, when new customers purchase any iPhone in combination with the mobile subscriptions Freedom Europe Data, Young Europe Data, Europe&US, or Young Europe&US. The promotion runs from June 18 to June 27, 2019.
