Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation for production and sales of motorcycles in India, achieved accumulated motorcycle production of 5 million units on 13 July 2020.

SMIPL started production in February 2006 with its first production model GT125. Since then, the company has expanded its production units with models ranging mainly from 110cc to 250cc including the scooter Access 125 and the backbone GIXXER. Accumulated production of 5 million units was achieved in 14 years and 5 months.

Suzuki's motorcycle sales in India continued to grow at 685,223 units, up by 2% year-on-year in FY2019 owing to sales contribution of the Access 125, despite the slowdown in the overall market. Suzuki's market share in India stood at 3.9%. The destinations of SMIPL motorcycles are not only India; they also include areas such as Japan, ASEAN, the Middle East, and Latin America, making it the biggest production hub of motorcycles for Suzuki.
