Resignation of Director

The board of directors (the "Board") of Swire Pacific Limited (the "Company") announces that Professor LIN Syaru Shirley has resigned as an independent non- executive director of the Company.

Professor Lin is a leading political economist whose research focuses on political and socio-economic trends in the Asia-Pacific region. Over the course of her appointment, it has emerged that her roles as an independent commentator and scholar could potentially be at odds with the operational realities of Swire Pacific's businesses. Therefore, a mutual decision has been made that she resign from the Board. Professor Lin has confirmed that she is not aware of any other matter relating to her resignation which needs to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company or of any disagreement with the Board. The Board offers its best wishes to Professor Lin.
