On July 27th, 2017 Constanze GmbH & Co KG, Hamburg, purchased all of the limited partnership interests in Jahr Holding GmbH & Co KG, Hamburg, which has owned voting rights in Symrise AG, and which was converted into Jahr Holding GmbH effective August 15th, 2017. In addition, and simultaneously Constanze GmbH & Co KG purchased all shares of the general partner of Jahr Holding GmbH & Co KG, i.e. of Jahr GmbH.

Symrise AG is one of the world's leaders in developing, producing and marketing scents, flavors and functional ingredients. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
- nutritional ingredients (63%): for use in the manufacture of food products (beverages, candies, chocolates, cereals, dairy products, snacks, sauces, instant noodles, etc.) and in the manufacture of animal and fish feed;
