Bellevue, Washington - September 17, 2019

What:
T-Mobile is going muy grande for Hispanic Heritage Month, America's annual celebration of Hispanic and Latino culture and history!

When and Where:
Between September 15 and October 15 - dates that span the independence days of Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Mexico - the Un-carrier will sponsor, host or participate in more than 80 events across the country, from public celebrations and parades to educational talks for T-Mobile employees.

Who:
America's Hispanic community is muy importante to T-Mobile. It comprises 59.9 million people - 18% of the U.S. population - not to mention 62% of T-Mobile's employees identify as a minority and a substantial portion of that includes Hispanic or Latino!

Why:
T-Mobile wouldn't be the iconic Un-carrier it is without its Latino employees and customers - and America wouldn't be the great nation it is without the contributions of Hispanics and Latinos. No hay uno without the other! #EstamosUnidos

Background:
T-Mobile kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month on Sept. 15 by presenting a $10,000 donation to Seattle's soon-to-open Sea Mar Museum of Chicano/a/Latino/a Culture as part of the Seattle Mariners' annual Salute to Latin American Béisbol Day at T-Mobile Park in Seattle. Throughout the rest of the month, T-Mobile executives and employees will join communities across the U.S. to participate in events such as Fiestas Patrias in Houston, Dallas, and Chicago; the LA County Fair; and the Hispanic Impact Summit in Orlando.

For employees, the T-Mobile Foundation is offering two-for-one matching on donations to the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, up to $20,000 total. Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations and educational opportunities touching on the topics of culture, history and immigration will take place at T-Mobile Care Centers as well as the Bellevue, Wash. headquarters, with special events, media opportunities and guest speakers to be announced.

Diversity is in T-Mobile's DNA. With more than 62% of T-Mobile employees identifying as minorities, the Un-carrier is the most diverse major wireless company in the nation. T-Mobile also has a suite of resources for the Spanish speaking community including a Spanish language site and T-Mobile app, the Un-carrier's award-winning Team of Experts in Spanish Language and the newly launched T-Mobile Latino YouTube channel, plus T-Mobile Latino Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. T-Mobile has been recognized by Forbes and Fortune as a Best Employer for Diversity and awarded a perfect 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index.

T-Mobile is a dedicated supporter of the Hispanic community and proudly celebrate their history, culture, and contributions during Hispanic Heritage Month and beyond. For more information about T-Mobile's diversity and inclusion initiatives, visit the T-Mobile website.
