NEW YORK (AP) _ Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. (TTWO) on Thursday reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $163.6 million.

On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had net income of $1.43. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.68 per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 21 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.73 per share.

The publisher of "Grand Theft Auto" and other video games posted revenue of $930.1 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $888.2 million, which also fell short of Street forecasts. Twenty analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $917.9 million.

For the current quarter ending in March, Take-Two said it expects revenue in the range of $635 million to $685 million.

The company expects full-year earnings to be $3.38 to $3.58 per share, with revenue ranging from $2.96 billion to $3.01 billion.

Take-Two shares have risen slightly more than 4% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $127.74, a climb of 38% in the last 12 months.
