The industry news publisher recognized Arial in this national award program for her leadership at work, where she ensures the safe and efficient production of food and beverage ingredients, managing a team of 40 technicians and engineers.

For judges, Arial stood out due to her passion for developing women in manufacturing, demonstrated through her mentoring of female colleagues and efforts to lead the facility's participation in Tate & Lyle's Global Professional Women's Network. Arial also impressed judges with her longstanding commitment to inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers in her community. An enthusiastic volunteer and board member of the Loudon County United Way, a local charitable organization, Arial has helped bring science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers to life in local Loudon County schools for more than five years.

'It's a privilege to support the development of the engineers and technicians that I manage, as well as people I've mentored at Tate & Lyle,' explained Arial. 'It's so gratifying to see their technical and leadership skills develop and confidence grow, and to know that my guidance has helped them achieve that. I'm fortunate that management encourage us to get into classrooms to speak to young people about science careers and I hope that hanging out with a woman in a manufacturing leadership role has inspired young girls and boys to think differently about the career paths available. To be recognized for this means the world.'

'Arial sets the example of what it means to be an active and caring volunteer for our community,' said Judy Fenton, Executive Director of the United Way of Loudon County. 'During her tenure as a board member of United Way of Loudon County, Arial has worked with our community partners who focus on education, such as the Loudon County Education Foundation and Loudon County Boys & Girls Club, helping us prepare our youth for further education and work.'

'We're thrilled and proud that Arial has been recognized as one of the Most Influential Women in Manufacturing,' added Ed Hammann, Tate & Lyle Loudon Plant Manager. 'She is a well-respected leader in her department, the plant, and within our company as a whole, known for championing safe work practices and creative thinking.'
