Tatneft' : Modern Sports and Fitness Complex Has Been Opened in Almetyevsk with the Support of TATNEFT

Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, has attended the ceremony of opening the Miras water sports complex in Almetyevsk (Republic of Tatarstan) built with the financial support of TATNEFT Company.

The event has been attended by Nail Maganov, General Director of TATNEFT Company; Vladimir Salnikov, President of the All-Russian Swimming Federation - four-time Olympic champion, multiple world champion, Europe and world record holder, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR; Ayrat Khairullin, Head of the Almetyevsk Municipal District; Irek Haydarovich Zinnurov, Honored Master of Sports of the Russian Federation, two-time winner of the Olympic Games, State Duma Deputy of the VIIth convocation, etc.

Rustam Minnikhanov highly appreciated in his welcoming speech the contribution of oilmen to the development of the social infrastructure of Tatarstan. Nail Maganov, General Director of TATNEFT Company has been awarded the Gratitude of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan for his contribution to the construction of socially significant facilities.

The modern multifunctional center meets all modern world standards. The total area of the facility exceeds 12 thousand square meters with the only 50-meter stainless steel bowl in Tatarstan located in the pool.

The water quality at the Miras swimming pool will meet international standards thanks to the application of BWT company's water treatment and purification system, which provides for high performance and efficiency.

In addition to a large pool with an area of 50x25 m with ten lanes, TATNEFT Company also has arranged a 10-meter swimming pool for children to learn swimming, similar in design and quality to a large pool.

The Sports Complex includes a medical premises block of rooms; a phytobar; a cycle studio for group classes of bike exercising; a hall for group class exercises, etc.

Within the frame of the project, the Company's 'Centers of Active Longevity', have equipped the Complex with a gym for 60 persons for people of 'silver age'. The emphasis has been placed on the rehabilitation and training of muscle groups, which weaken as a result of the with age-induced hypodynamia.

Addressing the event participants, Nail Maganov pointed out that the designing team of the Complex took into account the wishes of all Almetyevsk citizens on its location and functionality. It is worth mentioning that the choice of the name, in translation from the Tatar language denoting 'heritage' is not accidental. As the General Director of TATNEFT stressed, such facilities play an important role in creating a comfortable environment for living and recreation, and are part of the heritage transferred to children and grandchildren.

TATNEFT implements numerous social projects in the southeastern part of the Republic. The development of physical culture and mass sports is one of the Company's social policy priorities.
