We have donated £4,000 to St. Vincent's Hospice in Johnstone, following a whole host of fundraising activities by its staff at a summer charity event earlier this year.

The staff summer fundraiser, which included a fun casino and a raffle and lots of fun raised £4,000 in total which has been matched by our local regional board team - raising an incredible £8,000 to be shared between two charities close to the hearts of many of the staff including St. Vincent's Hospice in Howwood.

St. Vincent's Hospice located in Howwood, Renfrewshire aims to provide access to the best possible care and support to everyone living with a life-limiting illness in the local community. The Hospice has an Inpatient Unit with a multi-disciplinary team to offer the best care that it can; Community Nurse Specialists to provide care and support at home, and it provides a range of supportive services to patients and their families.

Commenting on the support it has received from us, Senior Fundraiser from St Vincent's Hospice, Louise Strachan, said: 'We are extremely grateful for the support that we have received from Taylor Wimpey and we can't thank them enough for their generous donation. We rely on voluntary donations and fundraising efforts from people all across the community every single year to generate more than half of the funding we need to ensure we are here for patients and families when they need us most.'

Willie Burns, Managing Director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland said: 'Being able to work with local businesses and organisations that surround our developments and our regional business means a great deal to us and it's great to know that we are helping to make a difference to the lives of people in local communities.'
