termotek GmbH looks back at four successful trade fair days: At the Laser World of Photonics 2019, the company from Baden-Baden received several specific project requests and established a wide range of business contacts with manufacturers and OEMs. Visitors were particularly interested in the power density and flexibility of the equipment for laser applications in the industrial and medical sector. termotek can fulfil this demand with new and optimised cooling systems.

'The number of promising contacts established this year is once again higher than in the previous years and has clearly exceeded our expectations. The feedback provided by visitors during extensive expert discussions at our stand shows that our cooling solutions definitely strike a chord in the industry,' says Peter Hirsch, managing director of termotek. Power density, low-noise operation and flexibility - these were the buzzwords at the centre of this year's presentation as the requirements concerning these parameters are continuously on the rise. Customers are increasingly looking for solutions with more power, a smaller form factor and a low level of vibrations during operation.

The company specialised in compact liquid cooling systems impressed the trade fair visitors with new and well-established technologies alike. The 19' plug-in cooling unit with 3 rack units (RU) and 360 W cooling capacity, which premiered at the Laser World of Photonics, particularly attracted a great deal of attention. Due to its horizontally arranged, speed-controlled mini-compressor, the product is particularly compact in view of its power density. In addition, it is characterised by a particularly low noise and vibration level during operation which is an important advantage compared to Peltier-based systems. On the laser market, termotek is one of the first manufacturers using this type of compressor technology.

The product portfolio presented at the trade fair also includes another 19' plug-in cooling unit with a speed-controlled double-chamber compressor with 4 RU and a modular cooling system that can be flexibly customised to fulfil specific requirements. In addition, the trade fair visitors could have a closer look at the well-established omega.eco liquid cooling system. With a capacity from 10 to 60 kW, it is particularly suitable for large CO2 lasers. 'Machine tools, lasers, semiconductor technology or medical devices - our cooling systems can be used for an extremely wide range of industrial applications. At the same time, they fulfil the high expectations of the manufacturers,' says Peter Hirsch.
