From day one at Ultimate Software, we've believed in providing a workplace that respects, values, and cares for all individuals as equals, innovators, and, most importantly, as people.

Back in 1990, there were four of us: two women and two men. We all worked together, as one team, doing whatever needed to be done, to ensure our vision-to create the 'ultimate' technology that would better serve hard-working HR and payroll professionals in the workplace-became reality.

No matter what happened, what challenges we faced, how our business changed, or how much we grew, we always kept one, core promise to our employees, our customers, and our communities: we'd always put people first.

Throughout our history, we've had to overcome many hardships, financial and personal. We heard from many doubters, who urged us to stop paying 100% of healthcare premiums for every employee and their families, and who said you can't run a successful company without putting profits ahead of people.

Here we are in 2019. We've become a $1 billion company. There are more than 5,000 employees with us. Half are women, half are men. All are members of the Ultimate Family. All still receive healthcare coverage, including their families.

And, just like we've done since day one, we all still work together every day, as one team, to ensure employees everywhere have the HR technology, tools, and resources to achieve their goals and realize their own visions-no matter what that looks like to each individual.

At Ultimate, we embrace diversity. It's the unique qualities we each provide that make us stronger as one family. We believe in inclusivity. Every person should feel safe, respected, and a complete sense of belonging at work and in life. We commit to equality. It's not us versus them, or women versus men. We're people. And, together, we've made Ultimate not just the #1 workplace for women, but the #1 workplace in technology.

Ultimate Software is proud to support and honor International Women's Day, joining thousands of companies across the globe in our commitment to building and sustaining workplace cultures that care for and protect not only women, but all people as equals. Not just on International Women's Day, but every day.

Over the past 29 years, we've seen many changes in our industry, our business, our society. But, at Ultimate, we've never changed our beliefs. We've always stayed true to us-and we always will.

If you've ever heard a negative comment. Ever had a doubter. Know you can overcome.

Stay true to your beliefs. Stay true to yourself. You will succeed.
