THESSALONIKI PORT AUTHORITY SOCIETE ANONYME The visit of the U.S. Ambassador Geoffrey R. Pyatt, accompanied by Consul General Gregory W. Pfleger took place today 9 July 2020 at ThPA S.A. The U.S. Ambassador was welcomed at the Company's Administration building by the Executive Chairman of ThPA S.A., Mr. Athanasios Liagkos, by the Managing Director - CEO of ThPA S.A., Mr. Franco Nicola Cupolo and by the Chief Investment Officer of ThPA S.A. Mr. Artur Davidian.
During the meeting with the members of the Management team of ThPA S.A., the U.S. Ambassador was informed about the investment plan and the major developments that are in progress in the Port of Thessaloniki.
The Executive Chairman of ThPA S.A., Mr. Athanasios Liagkos stated: 'It is a special honor for us, the opportunity to present the investment plans and development prospects of the Port of Thessaloniki to the delegates of the U.S. Embassy, headed by Ambassador Geoffrey R. Pyatt. ThPA S.A. remains fully committed to the implementation of its investment program for the further development of the Port of Thessaloniki'.
The U.S. Ambassador, Geoffrey R. Pyatt thanked ThPA S.A. for past assistance, including with temporary U.S. military rotations, and looked forward to building a culture of transparency and cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
