Kariya (JAPAN) September 29, 2017 - Toyota Boshoku Corporation (Tokyo: 3116, President: Yoshimasa Ishii) has published the 'Toyota Boshoku Report 2017'. This report introduces various activities carried out by the Toyota Boshoku group in fiscal year 2016, and highlights its business, environmental and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.

Guided by its Mid-term Business Plan for Implementation 2020, this year report mainly introduces initiatives to realise desired status. Toyota Boshoku welcomed expert from external resources for a dialogue on enhancing corporate value and corporate growth. The special feature introduces various challenges to realise '2050 Environmental Vision' starting with global reforestation activities.

1) Top Dialogue

Toyota Boshoku President Ishii welcomed Ms. Chieko Matsuda, Professor in Department of Business Administration, Social Sciences, Tokyo Metropolitan University (Graduate School), for a dialogue on enhancing corporate value and corporate growth while fulfilling its responsibility in harmony with society.

2) Special Features '2050 Environmental Vision'

(1) Reforestation Activities in Inner Mongolia, China
Introduces 5th reforestation activities conducted with all business entities and suppliers in China to achieve the 'Challenge of planting 1.32 million trees'
(2) Striving for Zero Wastewater in Production Processes
Introduces improvement activities promoted in factories and initiatives for reducing water risk to achieve 'Striving for Zero Wastewater in Production Processes'.

2.Format

Toyota Boshoku considers this report to be an important tool to gain trust from all stakeholders, and will continuously focus on furthering society's understanding of Toyota Boshoku through annual publications.
