Announcement of Plans to Build Distribution Center

Urban Outfitters, Inc. (the "Company," "us," or "our") announced plans to build a new 880,000 square-foot omni-channel distribution center (the "Facility") on ancillary land at Kansas Speedway in Wyandotte County, Kansas. This facility will enable us to support continued digital growth at all our brands, and it will allow us to reach our digital customers faster and more efficiently than ever before. The Company plans for construction of the Facility to commence in October 2020 and to be completed over the next four years, during which time the Company expects to incur capital expenditures of approximately $350 million. The Company worked with the Kansas Department of Commerce, KC SmartPort, the Kansas City Area Development Council, the Wyandotte County Economic Development Council and Unified Government of Wyandotte County in selecting a location for the Facility.

Urban Outfitters, Inc. is a lifestyle products and services company. The Company through three segments: Retail, Wholesale and Nuuly. The Retail segment includes its store and digital channels and includes its Anthropologie, Free People, FP Movement and Urban Outfitters brands. In addition to retail stores, it offers its products and services directly to its customers through its Websites, mobile applications, social media and third-party digital platforms, catalogs and customer contact centers. The Wholesale segment primarily designs, develops, and markets apparel, intimates, activewear and shoes. Nuuly Rent is a monthly womenâs apparel subscription rental service.
