TechCrunch is launching Extra Crunch, a premium offering available for $15 a month.
The web site, part of Verizon Communications Inc.'s (VZ) Verizon Media Group, said the paid product features "access to an active community of founders and experts," tools like Rapid Read mode, and member-only benefits at events, in addition to premium content.
TechCrunch was founded in 2005 and sold to AOL Inc. in 2010. Verizon bought AOL and Yahoo Inc.'s main internet operations, which became part of a business known as Oath that recently rebranded as Verizon Media.
TechCrunch and related websites have more than 27 million views per month, the company said, citing Comscore figures. It also runs the CrunchBase database and TechCrunch Disrupt conferences.
