PRESS RELEASE - AUGUST 20, 2018

Loïc Derrien appointed as new CEO of Cromology

After appointing Pierre Pouletty last June as Chairman of Cromology, Wendel has named Loïc Derrien to take over as Cromology's CEO beginning on August 27. This change in corporate governance is intended to support and step up the pace of Cromology's strategic reorientation, initiated by Wendel in 2017. Through this reorientation, Cromology has already refocused the scope of its activities on Europe and North Africa and launched an ambitious program aimed at transforming and improving operating and financial performance over the long term.

Loïc Derrien

Loïc Derrien has a degree in engineering from ESIM/ISBA and an MBA from HEC.

He began his career as a manager of construction and public works projects in Asia and in Canada, before joining Matra Transport International as a sales engineer, taking part in international calls for tender for turnkey metro construction projects.

In 1999 Loïc joined Hilti France where he held various marketing positions on the Executive Committee. In 2006, he became Marketing Director for Sigmakalon, with responsibility for France and then for Southern Europe. Sigmakalon was acquired in 2008 by PPG, one of the world's two largest suppliers of paints, coatings and specialty materials.

Since 2010, Loïc has been General Manager of PPG's decorative paints business for Southern Europe and more recently of the EMEA-South region, as well as Chairman of the Board of PPG Architectural Coatings France. He is president and one of the founding members of EcoDDS, a French non-profit company that encourages the selective sorting of household hazardous waste.
