ANNOUNCEMENT
1) Resignation of Mr Martua Sitorus as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director
2) Resignation of Mr Hendri Saksti as the Country Head of Indonesia
Wilmar International Limited ("Wilmar" or the "Group") wishes to announce the resignation of Mr Martua Sitorus as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 15 July 2018. Mr Sitorus, who co-founded Wilmar in 1991 with Mr Kuok Khoon Hong, the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Wilmar, was the Chief Operating Officer ("COO") from July 2006 to June 2013, Executive Deputy Chairman of Wilmar from July 2013 to March 2017 and was re-designated as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 April 2017.
Wilmar also wishes to announce the resignation of Mr Hendri Saksti, its Country Head of Indonesia, with effect from 31 August 2018. Mr Saksti joined Wilmar in 1994.
The Board would like to place on record their gratitude and thanks to Mr Sitorus and Mr Saksti for their long and dedicated service and significant contributions to the Group since its beginnings, which have helped to make Wilmar what it is today. Mr Sitorus helped develop many businesses for the Group globally but he deserves the bulk of the credit for building Wilmar's Indonesian operations. Mr Saksti was Mr Sitorus' Deputy in Indonesia until Mr Sitorus retired as COO in 2013, after which Mr Saksti took over as Country Head of Indonesia. Besides his many contributions, Mr Saksti single-handedly built the fertilizer business for the Group.
