Recently, 1.1 millimeter hot-rolled ultra-thin plate produced by WISCO had been exported to Thailand successfully, which broke the record in exploring the hot-rolled thin plate. This was a landmark achievement gained by WISCO through self-independent innovation manufacturing technique, quick adaptation to the market, adjustment the product structure, grasping the state strategic opportunity of 'Belt and Road Initiative' and exploring the overseas market.
Recently, WISCO continuously had tackled key technical problems, summarized, accumulated experience and innovated in equipment operation ,manufacturing process, technique and quality, which formed a set of steady thin plate produce process and achieved the 'hot for cold' successfully. At the same time, WISCO was the first to exploit the high-strength ultra-thin plate of 750 MPa and 1.2 millimeter worldwide, which promoted upgrading and updating of products for the downstream products.
The dimension of specification of thin plate, produced by WISCO before, ranged from 1.2 to 2.0 millimeters. With higher requirements of market, WISCO promoted actively to carry out the contract responsibility system for grade steel and adjusted the production plan dynamically on the rolling stability premise. Meanwhile, it organized the production technology stuff to tackle key technical problems in the whole process. Through previous and repeated rolling test, WISCO accumulated the experience and optimized the rolling problems continuously, which reduced the risk of rolling the ultra-thin plate in steel scrap, cutting tail and the roller damage. WISCO firstly made the breakthrough in trial-manufacturing the 1.1 millimeter ultra-thin plate and realizing the quantity production on October. The fulfillment rate of contract reached 100%.
