Presently, Alka Mittal is Chairman for Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd., Chairman, MD & Director-Human Resources at Oil & Natural Gas Corp. Ltd. and Director & Director-Human Resources at ONGC Videsh Ltd.

She is also on the board of Petronet LNG Ltd., ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Ltd. and Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli and Member-Governors Board at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology and Member-Governing Council at Hydrocarbon Sector Skill Council.

In the past Dr. Mittal was President-Northern Region at Forum of Women In Public Sector.
