Antoine Bernard de Saint-Affrique is currently the Chairman and CEO of the Danone group. He replaced Emmanuel Faber in this position in May 2021. Previously, he was the CEO of Barry Callebaut AG from 2015 to 2021.
At Danone, he is currently in charge of world-renowned brands such as Evian, Volvic, Gallia, Blédina, Danette or Actimel. His skills in marketing and sales, which he has developed through his various positions, have enabled him to acquire solid experience within various international food groups. He participated in the expansion of the Sanogyl and Signal brands at Unilever as well as the Maille brand.
After studying at the ESSEC business school where he obtained an MBA, he entered the consumer staples sector.
During his career, Mr. De Saint-Affrique also held the position of Marketing Director of Amora-Maille before joining the Unilever group in 2000. He then became President and CEO of Unilever's Eastern European countries (Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia) from 2003 to 2005 and finally Executive Vice President of the Unilever Group in charge of activities in Central and Eastern Europe from 2005 to 2009.
Thereafter, he held the position of Executive Vice President in charge of the skin care business within the Unilever Group from 2009 to 2011 before ending his career at Unilever as President of the Foods business and member of the Group Executive Committee from 2011 to 2015.
