Bernardo Villegas

Bernardo Malvar Villegas is currently the Chairman of Filipino Fund, Inc., Benguet Corp., and the Center for Research & Communication.
He is also an Independent Director at AbaCore Capital Holdings, Inc., DMCI Holdings, Inc., and North Star Meat Merchants, Inc. Additionally, he serves as a Director at Phinma Property Holdings Corp., Transnational Diversified Corp., Cuervo Appraisers, Inc., Dual Tech Foundation, Inc., Parents for Education Foundation, Inc., Philippine Foundation For Cultural & Educational Development, Benguetcorp Nickel Mines, Inc., and First Metro Philippine Equity Exchange Traded Fund, Inc. Furthermore, he is a Professor at the University of Asia & the Pacific and a Member of the Constitutional Commission (Philippines).
In the past, Dr. Villegas served as the Chairman-Economics Department at De La Salle University.
He was also a Director at Bank of the Philippine Islands and Globe Telecom, Inc. Moreover, he was an Independent Director at Alaska Milk Corp.
for 20 years.

Additionally, he was the Project Director-Philippine Economic History at the National Historical Commission of The Philippines and the President of The Philippine Economic Society.
Dr. Villegas obtained his graduate and doctorate degrees from Harvard University.
He also completed his undergraduate studies at De La Salle University in 1958.
