Mr. Ed Bowie is a Fund Manager at Altus Capital Ltd.
He is a director of ALTUS Capital Ltd, the Investment Manager to ALTUS Resource Capital Ltd. Prior to joining ALTUS in April 2008, he spent two years managing a range of government backed investment grants and funding schemes for the East of England Development Agency. Mr. Bowie spent three years working within the corporate finance department of Ambrian Partners (now part of Ambrian Capital plc). While at Ambrian, Mr. Bowie was responsible for the initiation and execution of a broad range of investment banking mandates including capital raisings, corporate restructurings, fairness opinions, strategic reviews and corporate and project-level divestitures, mergers and acquisitions for a wide range of clients including Arcelor, BHP Billiton, Grant Thornton as well as a number of junior resource companies. Prior to joining Ambrian, he worked for Salomon Smith Barney where he was an analyst within the oil and gas equity research team.
He started his career as a gold exploration geologist in Tanzania with SAMAX Resources before its acquisition by Ashanti Goldfields in 1997.
Mr. Ed Bowie holds an honours degree in Geology from Oxford University and a Masters degree from the Royal School of Mines at Imperial College London.
