Founder of Ökofen Heiztechnik GmbH, Herbert Ortner currently occupies the position of Chairman-Supervisory Board for AMAG Austria Metall AG and Chairman-Supervisory Board of Semperit Holding AG. Mr. Ortner is also on the board of ENGEL AUSTRIA GmbH and ENGEL Holding GmbH.

He previously was Chief Executive Officer at Palfinger AG and Managing Director & Head-Service Department at Palfinger Produktionstechnik Gmbh (a subsidiary of Palfinger AG), Global Business Unit Manager-Industrial Hoses at Semperit Holding AG and Head-Marketing & Sales Department at Apsys SAS.

Mr. Ortner received an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree from Höhere Technische Bundeslehr- & Versuchsanstalt Villach.
