In his past career Mr. Sun was Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director at Homeinns Hotel Group and Chief Executive Officer & Director at Home Inns & Hotels Management Beijing Ltd. (a subsidiary of Homeinns Hotel Group) and Vice President-Operations of B&Q (China) Co., Ltd.

Mr. Sun received an undergraduate degree from Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University.
