Education and Business Career
Berggruen was born in Paris, the son of art collector Heinz Berggruen, of Austrian and Albanian descent. His maternal grandfather was Albanian-Austrian actor Aleksandër Moisiu and his maternal grandmother, Maria, was from Vienna.
