Dr. Traeger previously was EVP & Head-Life Sciences Business Division at Tecan Group AG, Managing Director at Carl Zeiss Microscopy Ltd., Managing Director at Leica Microsystems CMS GmbH, Director-Strategic Business Development at Carl Zeiss Meditec AG, Project Manager-F&E at Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH and Member of JENOPTIK Optical Systems LLC.

He received a doctorate from the University of Hannover and an MBA from Purdue University.
