Founder of 5 different companies, among them: Star Bulk Carriers Corp., Oceanbulk Maritime SA and Oceanbulk Carriers LLC, Petros Alexandros Pappas is a Greek entrepreneur and businessperson who has been the head of 5 different companies and is Chairman of The UK Defence Club and Chief Executive Officer & Director at Star Bulk Carriers Corp. (which he founded in 2006), Chief Executive Officer for Star Challenger I LLC (a subsidiary of Star Bulk Carriers Corp.).

He is also Chairman at The United Kingdom Freight Demurrage & Defence Association and Member of The Union of Greek Shipowners.

He previously occupied the position of Chairman at Oceanbulk Maritime SA (he founded the company in 1989).

He received an MBA and an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.
