Capital Bank of Jordan : to Receive International Accreditation Certification in Payment Data Security

In recognition of its continuous efforts to develop its banking systems and services, Capital Bank has received an international accreditation certificate of the first order in payment data security in Jordan. The certificate, which was awarded by PCI, a firm specialized in data security and protection for all types of banking cards, is due to Capital Bank's application of the highest standards of security and protection and makes it one of the first Jordanian banks to receive the latest 3.1 version of the certificate.

This certificate, Payment Card Industry - Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS), is only awarded to banks that apply the most important and updated banking standards to gauge data security and confidentiality of the bank's clients and their banking cards during their transactions. Capital Bank partnered with Control Case, an international company specialized in PCI-DSS compliance, which provided Capital Bank with a comprehensive set of scanning, monitoring, alert services and advanced consulting, all which contributed to the bank's certification.

The certificate was received by Capital Bank General Manager Haytham Kamhiyah and members of his team, as well as Control Case management. He expressed pride at this significant milestone for Capital Bank, which will help protect clients security breaches and fraud.

Kamhiyah went on to add that this certification is confirmation of the bank's commitment to the highest standards of banking security and to good service for its clients, saying that it also indicates the bank's continuous efforts to raise services and efficiency to the highest and most secure levels by complying with a set of technical and procedural controls that help manage and control risks within well-defined strategies congruent with international standards. This, in turn, strengthens the bank's position on both the local and international levels.

Kamhiyah indicated that the bank has made great efforts to develop its software and platform in order to create a secure environment for card transactions in Jordan. He stressed that this recognition further reveals Capital Bank's leading role in the security and integrity of data integrity.
