The total building area for the three-story facility is about 57,000 square meters, covering a floor area of 40,000 square meters. Combined with city bus, cross-border coach, long-distance bus, Metro Line 11, ferry shuttle bus and limousine service, GTC is able to provide seamless multi-mode connections among sea, land, air and rail.

4.Ground Transportation Networks

Shenzhen International Airport boasts efficient ground traffic networks, making it possible for passengers to go into or out of it easily. East of it lie Bao'an Avenue, State Road 107, and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway; west of it is the Yanjiang Expressway; south of it are Airport South Road and Jihe Expressway; north of it are two main roads called Fuyong and Fuhai. The rail transit of the Airport connects Metro Line 1 and Metro Line 11, the latter of which also provides a seamless connection between Shenzhen downtown and the Airport's terminal with special business compartments provided for airport passengers. Metro Line 11 will also be connected with the Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Inter-city Railway, Shenzhen-Maoming Railway and the Shenzhen-Hong Kong West Fast-track, thus facilitating contacts with cities such as Hong Kong, Macao, Guangzhou, Dongguan and Zhongshan.

5.CIQ Environment

Shenzhen International Airport has already launched the 24-hour customs clearance service. The 144-hour visa-free transit policy for overseas passengers is expected to be implemented by the end of 2016. Overseas visitors may apply for tax refund for their purchases at Shenzhen International Airport and the services hours are synchronouswith the international departure flights. Overseas passengers can get 9% value-added tax rebate of total purchase amount after shopping in Shenzhen tax rebate shops.

Customs clearance services hours for international cargo

General Cargo: 09:00 -23:00

Express Cargo: 09:00 --02:00+1

UPS Asia Hub: 24-hour customs clearance service

Bonded Cargo: 09:00--18:00

In addition to regular service hours, 24-hour cargo CIQ service can be achieved by reservation.

6. Policy Support

In order to encourage and support airlines to step up its internationalization process, Shenzhen Municipal Government will grant subsidies for the airline company to open new passenger routes to Asian countries. In light of the decision made by airlines to open new inter-continental passenger routes as required by the municipal Party committee and government, the municipal government will determine the sum for the subsidy based on the 'case by case' principle through consultation.

In order to provide full support for airlines, Shenzhen International Airport offers a package of strong preferential policies to support airlines to open new international passenger routes, including preferential charges for landing and ground handling services, providing marketing subsidies and jointly engaging in promoting new routes.
