GAUSSIN partners with HyperloopTT for the supply of electric and

autonomous vehicles

This long-term project covers container routing and transfer solutions for

HyperloopTT magnetic levitation trains

Gaussin (EURONEXT GROWTH FR0010342329) has just announced a strategic partnership with the US corporation Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HyperloopTT) for the supply of AIV HyperloopTT electric driverless vehicles that can carry and transfer containers in magnetic levitation trains running in a tube at 1,200 km/h.

HyperloopTT technology

Hyperloop moves people and goods at airplane speeds safely, efficiently, and sustainably. Passenger and cargo capsules levitate just above a track and travel through a network of low-pressure tubes between cities. Proprietary passive magnetic levitation and a linear electric motor, combined with a tube environment in which air has been drastically reduced, allow the capsules to move at very high speeds with minimal friction.

The advantages of Hyperloop travel are numerous and transformative, including but not limited to allowing people to live further from cities and their jobs, changing travel time from hours to minutes, and creating economic opportunity throughout the connected region. Hyperloop solves some of the key long-term challenges faced by modern society: overpopulation, traffic congestion, and pollution.

The HyperloopTT System is powered by a combination of alternative energy sources -- creating a safe, efficient and affordable solution.

AIV HyperloopTT to maximise the benefits of the HyperloopTT solution

The AIV HyperloopTT will have the task of carrying containers from the port storage area up to the HyperloopTT capsule and transferring them using a lateral transfer module that has proven its capability in other rail-road logistics applications.

Precision docking with the capsule and rapid transfer of containers directly into the capsule will allow continuous supply to the capsules, shortening the station stops of trains and thus maximising flexibility of the HyperloopTT solution, reducing overall cost.

Christophe Gaussin, Managing Director of the GAUSSIN group, had this to say: "We are very happy

with this partnership, which allows the integration of Gaussin solutions into an efficient, safe, and clean mobility concept that will revolutionise the transport of passengers and goods. This partnership has enabled us to leverage our expertise in the field of electric driverless container transport and port activities, which is the legacy business of Gaussin."

Andres de Leon, Chief Executive Officer of Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, said: "Gaussin

will play a critical role in bringing our freight solutions to reality. The interest in bringing Hyperloop

to the world's overcrowded ports and freight systems is very high. Because of the system's speed,

efficiency, economic benefits, and low carbon footprint, Hyperloop is on its way to becoming the new standard in transport solutions for the 21st century. With a global industry leader like Gaussin a major puzzle piece for Hyperloop freight systems has been solved."
