Cloakware Trusted Telemetry app part of collaborative development to stay ahead of evolving threats.

Irdeto, a leader in digital platform security, has launched its Cloakware Trusted Telemetry app, which integrates with IBM security intelligence technology to provide real-time detection of device exploits for timely containment. A key component of Cloakware Security Services, Trusted Telemetry can extend security coverage even to tiny microprocessor and RTOS based systems. Critical security events are passed by default in the protected telemetry packets and agent APIs make it easy to add additional system or application level data as required.

The new application is freely available to the security community through IBM Security App Exchange, a marketplace where developers and partners across the industry can share applications based on IBM Security technologies. As threats are evolving faster than ever, collaborative development amongst the security community will help organizations adapt quickly and speed innovation in the fight against cybercrime.

Trusted Telemetry leverages IBM Security QRadar, the company's security intelligence platform which analyzes data across an organization's IT infrastructure in real-time to identify potential security threats. Leveraging QRadar's open application programming interfaces (API), Trusted Telemetry provides Irdeto and IBM customers with robust, reliable security telemetry data, which can help scale to accommodate the massive increase in connected devices that we are experiencing today.

'The real-time detection of device exploits and attack attempts provided by Trusted Telemetry allows for preventative steps to be taken and is a powerful compliment to IBM's comprehensive SIEM offering, QRadar,' said Steeve Huin, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, Business Development and Marketing, Irdeto. 'In combination, the two solutions empower organizations with the tools to address security challenges that need solving now, by enabling them to gain a much greater understanding of the cyber-attacks and threats they face, as well as putting them in a better position to combat cyberattacks before damage is done.'

Irdeto Trusted Telemetry is protected by Irdeto's proven Cloakware Software Protection technology, a suite of advanced cybersecurity technologies, libraries and tools that enable the protection of critical digital assets such as keys, code and data. This ensures that security events reported can be trusted and Trusted Telemetry actively flags these events as they occur, so organizations have a stream of security events in real-time to continuously protect against attacks. Unlike other solutions that are based on anomaly detection, which often results in false positives and detection only after a successful exploit, Trusted Telemetry enables action much earlier, resulting in the prevention of attacks and cost savings for the organization.
