ASR Nederland N : a.s.r. completes acquisition of VvAA

ASR Nederland N.V. (a.s.r.) has completed the acquisition of VvAA Levensverzekering N.V. All conditions set to the acquisition have been met, including the certificate of no objection from the Dutch Central Bank. The works councils of a.s.r. and VvAA Groep B.V. (VvAA) have already issued a positive advice.

In July last year, a.s.r. and VvAA agreed that a.s.r. would take over VvAA Levensverzekeringen N.V. With this acquisition, VvAA guarantees sustained access to life insurance products for its more than 120,000 members. The life insurance portfolio comprises approximately 18,000 policies.

The annual premium is € 28 million, and the volume of the technical provisions is € 430 million. Products and services of the life activities are offered in collaboration with a.s.r. from now on. For all its products and services, VvAA will remain the advisor and therefore the point of contact for its members.
