February 19, 2020, Moscow - Sberbank and Federal Notary Chamber have signed a cooperation agreement to develop and introduce digital services under the Digital Economy federal program. According to the document, the parties will introduce Pay with QR technology to let clients pay for notarial services using a QR code. You only need Sberbank Online mobile app or any other bank's app connected to Sberbank QR platform to pay.

Dmitry Oguryaev, Director of the State Products and Services, Sberbank,

'We have worked closely with Federal Notary Chamber for a long time to digitalize products and services. This cooperation has resulted in certain things that change customer experience drastically. For example, in Moscow we launched a pilot project called Inheritance without Going to Bank, letting people receive their inheritance without going to the bank. Cashless payment is another important step to develop eNotary. We invite all notaries to join Pay with QR to make their services as convenient for clients as possible.'

Konstantin Korsik, President, Federal Notary Chamber of Russia,

'Federal Notary Chamber creates and develops e-notary solutions to provide citizens and businesses with most convenient and reliable ways to protect and exercise their rights via new digital formats. In late January, a notary act was paid for using Pay with QR for the first time.'

Cashless payments will free clients from taking cash with them when going to a notary and let them pay for the services that don't require going to a notary office: transfer funds to a notarial deposit, provide online evidence, certify translation accuracy, etc.
