NEW YORK (AP) _ Solar Senior Capital Ltd. (SUNS) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $5.8 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The New York-based company said it had net income of 36 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for investment gains, were 35 cents per share.

The business development company posted revenue of $9.5 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $22.9 million, or $1.43 per share. Revenue was reported as $40.1 million.

Solar Senior shares have increased 3% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $18.16, a rise of slightly more than 8% in the last 12 months.
