ITEM 8.01. Other Events.

On March 20, 2020, Canadian Pacific Railway Limited (the "Company") filed with Canadian Securities Regulators a user guide (the "Guide") prepared by Computershare Limited, agent for the Company, providing instructions on how shareholders of the Company may electronically attend and vote at the Company's Annual Meeting of Security Holders to be held on April 21, 2020 (the "Annual Meeting"). As previously disclosed by the Company, the Annual Meeting will be conducted in a virtual only format via live webcast online, as a proactive step to protect the Company's employees and other stakeholders, including shareholders of the Company, from the impact of the recent global spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).

A copy of the Guide is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
