Install tools to communicate with colleagues: Skype or Teams
Make sure you have a dedicated working space at home but also allow a place to relax- leave the working space while taking a break
Be disciplined: keep away personal distractions during the timeslots you work
Keep your normal working rhythm: allow yourself breaks and disconnect when finishing in the evening
Align with your manager the weekly to do list
to assure business as usual
Make sure your phone number is in your email signature

HOW TO STAY MOTIVATED
Humanize the communication: rather
than sending mails, pick up the phone, use skype/Teams (with camera)
Schedule regular meetings with the team virtually to avoid "out of sight, out of mind"
Don't change your usual habits- wake up at the same time and get dressed before starting work to kick off the working day
Call in on your colleagues (outside your team) for an informal
chat: how are you doing today?
Don't cancel your face-to-face meetings but transform them to Skype/Teams meetings

Set clear expectations of virtual behavior and share this with everyone
- No multitasking: " Turn of notifications, put away phone
- Make your workspace productive: silent work environment
Determine the agenda and the desired outcome before the meeting
- Share the material before the meeting (PowerPoint with minimum slides possible)
- Have a timeline for each topic of your meeting (have a timekeeper)
- Share accountability for the success of the meeting with everyone

- Wait longer for input - pause enough to let them share
- Manage participation- state that participation is desired
- Create feedback loops - ask people questions, ask for interaction
- High time constraint: reduce time of meeting
