Netflix has evacuated the highest bandwidth streams in Pakistan, as well as across Europe and UK due to increasing demand in viewership. The decision has been taken in order to decrease traffic so that more viewers can avail the service.

Vice-President of Content Delivery at Netflix Ken Florance said in official announcement that we have built up an approach for reducing Netflix's traffic on telecommunications networks by 25 percent while also maintaining the quality of our service due to COVID-19 emergency So, users should continue to get the quality that comes with their plan, whether it's Ultra-High, High or Standard Definition.

Netflix has made the decision to reduce our traffic on the telecommunications networks in Pakistan by 25 percent while we maintain the quality of service for our members during this crisis.

Netflix wants to make sure that the internet continues to functioning well during this crisis. Netflix typically has wide range of streams for a single title within each resolution. This action means we've simply removed the highest bandwidth streams. So whether you paid for Ultra-High Definition (UHD), High Definition (HD), or Standard Definition (SD), that's the quality you should maintain to get (depending on your device).

He added that we have invested in adaptive streaming and our Open Connect service for for a long time. Netflix's streaming technology dynamically adjusts the video and sound quality based on the available bandwidth - you won't experience buffering either.

Netflix has created Open Connect which puts its own content servers closer to its members' homes. This ensures it can deliver it faster, and at better quality, while with less Internet capacity. Netflix is viewed as the most efficient streaming service on the market.
