ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) _ Argan Inc. (AGX) on Tuesday reported a loss of $7.2 million in its fiscal fourth quarter.

The Rockville, Maryland-based company said it had a loss of 46 cents per share.

The builder of energy plants posted revenue of $68 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported a loss of $42.7 million, or $2.73 per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $239 million.

Argan shares have dropped 8.5% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $36.73, a decrease of 28% in the last 12 months.
