Unsafe product notifications for electrical and electronic products have increased in the EU and decreased in the USA in Q1 2020, compared to the previous quarter.

In the EU, 83 products were notified as unsafe, an increase of 11% on Q4, 2019. The main categories were IT and telecommunications and luminaires, and the main risk in both was for electric shock.

Notifications in the USA reduced by 25% in the first quarter, compared to Q4 2019. The main category was audio, video and household appliances with the main risks for fire and injury.
