Bouncing back? Payment volumes in the United States in May contracted by 5%, after -18% in April, according to data published by Visa, a sign that the low point has probably passed.

Employees disagree. Facebook employees are unhappy with the way Marc Zuckerberg reacted to Donald Trump's recent comments. In particular, they feel that the social network should have deleted comments made by the US president that were deemed provocative and inciting to violence. On Friday, the Facebook boss had indicated that the comments would be maintained, even though he personally disapproved of them. In particular, he believes that it is better that these discussions be public, especially when the stakes are so high.

Antibodies to Covid. Eli Lilly has begun testing a treatment for Covid-19, based on blood samples from a patient who has recovered from the disease. The therapeutic antibody-based treatment has been administered to patients in New York and Los Angeles as part of a Phase I clinical trial, with results expected by the end of this month.

Comau is being structured prior to the IPO. Fiat Chrysler has appointed Paolo Camassi as Chief Executive Officer of its Turin-based robotics subsidiary Comau, ahead of its planned IPO after the merger with Peugeot. The company specializes in vehicle assembly machines and industrial robots.

M&A in the transfer of funds? Information from Bloomberg suggests that Western Union is going to make a bid for MoneyGram. The deal is still being negociated. MoneyGram is a small player in the sector, which weighed less than $200 million before the rumors.

In other news.  Starbucks has reduced employee work hours to accommodate coronavirus-related constraints. Volkswagen is expected to resume operations in Mexico on June 15. Leclanché is reorganizing and signing an industrial agreement with the Eneris group to create a partnership in batteries. Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer lost $292 million in the first quarter due to short-time working measures that had to be put in place because of the Covid-19 and a drop in aircraft deliveries.
