Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd. and AMMB Holdings Bhd. have been dropped from the country's 30-stock benchmark Kuala Lumpur Composite Index in a semiannual review.

Telekom Malaysia Bhd. and KLCC Property Holdings Bhd. will be added to the index as new constituents to replace the banking group and the airports operator, Bursa Malaysia and FTSE Russell said in a joint statement Thursday.

The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI reserve list, comprising the five highest ranking nonconstituents by market capitalization, are QL Resources Bhd., Westports Holdings Bhd., Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd., Kossan Rubber Industries Bhd. and Gamuda Bhd.

The reserve list will be used in the event that one or more constituents are removed from the index during the period up to the next semiannual review.

As a result of this review, AMMB Holdings, Axis Real Estate Investment Trust, Datasonic Group Bhd., Malaysia Airports, Mega First Corp. Bhd. and MI Technovation Bhd. have been added to the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Mid 70 Index.

Berjaya Corp. Bhd., Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd., Pavilion Real Estate Investment Trust, Pos Malaysia Bhd., Telekom Malaysia and UMW Holdings Bhd have been removed from the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Mid 70 Index.
