Under the terms of the five-year sub-contract, Iteris will implement a portion of the ITS Asset Management System (IAMS) for the GDOT project, with an estimated budget of approximately $2.4 million over the next five years.

GDOT will be able to utilize a suite of workflow improvement tools designed to reduce initial and ongoing costs to the program, including: a data collection and validation tool, an expedited service portal and an IAMS feedback tool.

Iteris’ deployment of the software solution to support the ITS Maintenance Program follows the prior successful delivery of the Iteris asset management services, part of the ClearMobility™ Platform, for city and state agencies nationwide.

“Having successfully deployed a SaaS-based asset management system in Virginia, Iteris is thrilled to be a core member of the DTS team that will deliver improved functionality and flexibility for ITS maintenance throughout Georgia,” said Moe Zarean, vice president and assistant general manager at Iteris. “We are committed to continuing to deliver the highest level of service to our state and county partners and look forward to providing full user training and support to the GDOT project for the term of the contract.”

Iteris and DTS have created an expedited service portal application that allows network operations center (NOC) and traffic management center (TMC) personnel to quickly detect and report field device outages while ensuring they are not issuing multiple service requests for the same device. Using drop-down menus and quick-view device status information from the network monitoring system, NOC and TMC staff can report down devices in as few as three mouse clicks.

Work on the new IAMS and NOC support, as well as the initial inventory of field assets, will commence immediately.
