Skanska has sold a sustainable retirement home with 80 apartments in the new district of Täby Park in Stockholm, Sweden, for about SEK 320 M. The buyer is SPP Fastigheter. The transaction will be recorded by Skanska Commercial Development Nordic in the second quarter 2020. The transfer is planned for March 2022.

A lease agreement has been signed with Vardaga, who will be responsible for operating the retirement home, which covers approximately 5,600 square meters and will be five floors high.

The retirement home, which is being developed and built by Skanska Sweden, will meet high sustainability requirements and is going to be LEED certified. It will have very low energy consumption and will, among other things, be equipped with solar cells on the roof. The building will be erected exclusively with sustainable building materials and no building waste will go to landfill.

The building is under construction and will be completed in January 2022.
