Shares of power producers fell, but not by as much as the broad market, as investors sought cover from the implications of spikes in Covid-19 infections by buying into safe havens.

Sunrun agreed to buy rival Vivint Solar for about $1.6 billion in stock, as the two largest U.S. rooftop solar companies sought to survive the fallout of the coronavirus pandemic by joining forces.
