RICHARDSON, Texas (AP) _ Lennox International Inc. (LII) on Monday reported second-quarter profit of $100 million.

On a per-share basis, the Richardson, Texas-based company said it had profit of $2.60. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and to account for discontinued operations, came to $2.97 per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 17 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.62 per share.

The manufacturer of furnaces, air conditioners and other products posted revenue of $941.3 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Seventeen analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $886 million.

Lennox expects full-year earnings in the range of $7.90 to $8.70 per share.

Lennox shares have climbed nearly 2% since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped 13% in the last 12 months.
