Arcadis Ost 1: construction of platform kicks off at Gdansk Shipyard

Construction of the upper part of the offshore substation in the Baltic Sea has now begun at the former Lenin Shipyard in Gdansk, Poland.

Elia Group's German subsidiary 50Hertz is working with Belgian company Parkwind to more efficiently connect the new Baltic wind farm, Arcadis Ost 1, to the German high-voltage grid - a cooperative effort that will entail Parkwind and 50Hertz jointly building an offshore transformer platform in the Baltic Sea.
