ATLANTA (AP) _ Rollins Inc. (ROL) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $75.4 million.

On a per-share basis, the Atlanta-based company said it had profit of 23 cents.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 17 cents per share.

The operator of Orkin and other pest and termine control services posted revenue of $553.3 million in the period.

Rollins shares have increased 47% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 44% in the last 12 months.
