HOUSTON (AP) _ Archrock Inc. (AROC) on Thursday reported a second-quarter loss of $30.4 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Houston-based company said it had a loss of 20 cents. Earnings, adjusted for asset impairment costs and to extinguish debt, were 12 cents per share.

The natural gas compression services business posted revenue of $220.3 million in the period.

Archrock Inc. shares have decreased 30% since the beginning of the year.
